I bought the stairtreads for safety reasons and I wanted something to go with my living room rugs. They fulfilled both needs. However, I didn't get anything for the landing. My senior dog was able to negotiate the stairs, but slide when she reached the landing. So I purchased a small (2 ft) runner. Problem solved.
