These are excellent stair treads. We have dark stained stairs and the color of the stair treads compliment the stairs. The feel of the treads is comfortable with a little cushion. We really like that these treads have a solid tacky backing which make them feel secure to our wood stairs. You can also easily lift them up and move them around. These are really high quality treads. For our 2 large dogs, the treads help them feel confident walking down many flights of stairs. These are well-worth the money!
There is nothing else on the market like these stair treads. I wanted a solution that doesn’t require damaging fasteners like a carpet runner, doesn’t require glue or tape, is ascetically pleasing and still holds firmly when stepped on by people and my dog. I didn’t think I would find a product that met all of those criteria, but these stair treads do. They look great, there is absolutely no slippage when they are walked on and they pull up easily with no marks on my hardwood stairs. To top it off, they are a fraction of the cost of a good carpet runner. I would recommend these stair treads to anyone, whatever issue you are trying to solve.
Bought these for my wooden stairs... simply a perfect purchase as they transformed a potential risk into an easily managed stairway. Highly recommend them as a great solution for your wooden stairs.
I am so happy with these rug treads! We built a modern house and would have preferred no rug on the stairs but my old Pomeranian was falling down the stairs and became injured. My husband did not want a runner. I found these online with good reviews so I ordered. So glad I did! The black rug color blends beautifully with my Jacobean wood and the backing does not slip and does not require added tape.
After our small dog slipped on the stairs I knew I needed to get something. I finally found a product that doesn't need tape to secure. I just laid the treads on top of the stairs and they don't move. I feel so much better now.
This is second set of these. The first ones were jute and when they got stained, I tried to clean them and the results were marginal so I replaced them.
That said, these are really worth the $ because they perform exactly as advertised. I rely on them to keep my older dogs from slipping on the stairs.
